The best night of my entire life happened at Cheers on May 2, 2015! We met our friend Carol and went to hang out there before the Kip Winger solo show. Danielle met us with a beautiful smile and warm welcome! She made us feel like we had been patrons of Cheers for many years! The drinks were strong, loved the Margaritas! The food was delish! And the atmosphere was amazing! I met some very cool and amazing people there that night! Life long friends!

What can I say about cheers that hasn't been said.. hmm well it's an amazing place. The new owner has turned it around and made it relevent again! A lot of us locals had given up on it. Then the new owner has done what she said she was. The staff is warm and inviting always a smile and truly making it fun. And better yet safe. With new bookings of bands they are making it for everyone. The prices are fair and you get your moneys worth! If you are looking for a fun place to hang out and have a good time try it. And tell Danielle that Troy said I was suppose to have a toga on!

Great dive bar for those that never matured past ninth grade. The number one bar in the state for seeing fat people in tight clothes.

I went bowling for a company outing and we stayed at a hotel near this bar. I give it credit for its name and location but the accolades end there. The "ladies" left to run the place has their hands full really. Low staff on a Tuesday is understandable I guess. But the pierced and tatted up crew on this nights 09/14/15 had their hand dull of issues. One in our group was super challenging and instead of admitting not knowing all the answers this person got angry and kicked my friend out. So because of the staff I will not be back. Sabre I think...

Great find. Just stumble in. I had the combo pizza and open mic night entertainment. Great unexpected night on a dull business trip

This bar has some really excellent food. I hate to call it bar food, because it is really of much better quality. You can tell the new owners have a passion for what they do. We recently tried the brisket sandwich and it melted in our mouths. Excellent flavor! Keep it up. They also serve the best Chicago dogs I've had outside of Chicago... You'd think you were at Portillos. Give 'em a try. The food is good, the drinks are cold, and the price leaves you with a smile on your face and some cash left in your wallet.

Best Food in town, great beer specials....new owners are turning this place around in a hurry!

Cheers is a great neighborhood dive bar to spend an evening drinking, playing pool, or listening to music. You wouldn't necessarily think to go here if you were driving by, or really even after first walking in, but Cheers has some good food, great specials, and can be a fun time. 35 cent chicken wings 3 or 4 days a week, breadsticks with mozzarella cheese inside (no not cheese sticks, actual breadsticks), and the ultimate deal... Wednesday $10 all you can drink beer. From the look of the place you would expect a one or two star rating, and maybe it would only warrant a 3 star if not for the $10 Wednesday special, but that can't be beat.

Decent enough divey watering hole that has bands. Nice pro sound system, good stage, generally a decent enough scene there. I've always had a good time here. Beer selection is sorta arse, but I'm betting the college kids and townies aren't too down with the microbrews or belgian beers.

This is my first time visiting the south bend area. I was staying at the Inn at St. Mary's. Yelp found this place nearby. I read some of the reviews but I still wasn't expecting what I walked into. The place was a lot smaller than I thought it would be and very quiet. When I walked through the door everyone was staring at me. Then the lady at the bar was a little curt, but after I was there for a while she was more nice. He menu was extensive for the size of the place and they had a ton of specials. I got the Cajun pork rinds and they were kind of weird. Not sure if it was just the fact they were pork rinds or what. The brisket sandwich special was good but needed more BBQ and was a little dry. Otherwise the beer selection was decent and since a reviewer said the pizza there was good, I would consider going back to try the pizza if I was going to be in town a little longer.

I always try to eat and drink here at least one night during the week when I'm in town for work staying across the street. The bartenders are always nice, and make the out of towner feel like a local, which is what I'd look for in a small neighborhood bar. The pizza is great, and the other food is pretty good too, a (slight) step above your regular run of the mill bar food.... And it's hard to beat a bottle of beer and a shot for 5 bucks Monday through Thursday!

Thanks to Yelp we decided to stop in for a quick dinner ... What we found was more than that! First off the pizza and breadsticks were out of this world good. BUT the soul of Cheers is live rock. They are booking up and comers and the place looks awesome. I know we will be making a trip there and staying for the band.

Had a great night here eating, drinking, and talking with bartenders. Amanda was great. Had the chance to meet the owner who was more than accommodating. Good specials, good food. Check it out

This place is a real dive bar, but the food is good and the drinks are cheap. They have the biggest fried pickles I've ever seen. Definitely worth a visit if you're not looking for a high class atmosphere.

Cheers is a great bar with great history. I've been playing at this bar for over ten years and though I used to fear the inevitable 1am no attendance shows, new ownership has proven themselves time and again how much it has really changed over the last few years, and for the better. Now as one of the premier rock bars in south bend. I look forward to seeing what names will be coming through town and the great local support they find! If you need a place for a great rock show and wonderful customer service, (make sure to give Danielle a high five!) then you shouldn't look any further!

Great place for an ice cold beer, and a concert. The sound there is incrdible, it's one house that really rocks. The staff and, owners, are, really nice and help to make, your experience there enjoyable. Didn't get a chance to eat there, but will return to do so. I've been told the Pizza, there is amazing.

I have taken many poops at this place. I highly recommend the bathroom that's in the hallway by the kitchen. Most people do not know about this hidden little gem. You can poop for 20 minutes straight and not get bothered one single time. Make sure to wash your hands after so that you can enjoy some delicious pizza.

I love this bar. Great place for live music whenever you're in the mood. The wife and I try to get there for acoustic nights on Tuesdays. It's always a fun time with friendly staff and friendly patrons. And last but not least, a bunch of drink specials and just generally cheap drinks to start with.

Stopped in on a Saturday, live music night. First impressions gave the vibe of a large, townie dive bar. To our chagrin, the door men and staff were surprisingly friendly. Free shots just inside the door were a nice touch! Didn't have to look to hard to find seats. Medium sized seating area, good-size bar. Bartenders were efficient, and grabbed us drinks right after spotting us. Drink prices seemed higher than some, but I'll just add that up to the live bands. Crowd looked a bit rough, but peace prevailed throughout the hard rock show. Leave the kids at home if traveling to Cheers...unless their names are Jack Johnson and Tom O'Leary, then bring them with. You never know right? Worth a stop if you're looking for live music, a lively crowd, and quick bar service. If we make it back to South Bend, it won't be forgotten.

I was going to give the place 3 stars, but gave them a bump due to the service. We stopped in around 10 p.m. for some food and drinks. They said they stopped serving food about 15 minutes ago, but would fire the grill back up, for us. I'm not sure many places would do this, lucky for us because we were pretty hungry. I got 10 hot wings for .35 a wing (Friday Night special) and my friend got a grilled cheese sandwich and fries for under $4. The food was all pretty average bar food. Nothing special, but good food to fill you up and give you the grease you crave when drinking. It was pretty slow for a Friday night, but it's to be expected in the summer in a college town. $5 pitchers of Budweiser and $3 well drinks made for a cheap night out. Decent juke box and it looks like they are set up to have live music.

Love the staff, love the atmosphere. Fun, happy-go-lucky, and polite. Every person I met in here worked their buns off- it was awesome. They even put my SC football game on the TV so I could watch it. It was the perfect place to celebrate the Irish win and watch my SC destroy Florida. I highly recommend this establishment. The jukebox was full of really fun songs- and when country music came out of the speakers a HUGE smile came across my boyfriend's face. Great job guys!
